What it does

A clean bibliography with every entry checked against the real paper. Give it DOIs, PubMed or arXiv IDs, paper titles or a messy BibTeX file, and get back tidy entries with duplicates removed. It looks papers up in Google Scholar or PubMed and pulls the full details: authors, title, journal, year and pages. It turns IDs into correctly formatted BibTeX. For an existing file, it compares each entry with the actual publication, flags mismatches and missing fields, merges duplicates and makes the key names and style consistent. It can also find highly cited papers in a field. Scripts are included, so Python and web access are needed. Always skim the final list before you submit your paper.
