What it does
Duplicate customers split orders, notes and history across two records. Name the duplicate and the one to keep, and the two are merged in Shopify with tags and notes carried over. It tries Shopify's own merge first, which moves orders, addresses and subscriptions to the record you keep. If that is not available, it copies the tags and notes across by hand and leaves a note on the old record pointing to the winner. It runs as a preview by default so you can check the plan first. Merging cannot be undone once done. This changes live customer data and needs Shopify write access.
