What it does
A post-earnings summary for one stock: what was reported against what was expected, how margins moved, and how the share price reacted. Give a ticker and read the answer in minutes. The skill uses the yfinance Python package, installing it if needed. One script collects the latest reported results, the last quarters of earnings history, quarterly income, cash flow and balance sheet, and price moves around the report date. It then compares actual to estimate, calculates beat or miss sizes, tracks margin trends over about five quarters, and writes a clear recap. The data is from Yahoo Finance and is for research, not advice.
You give it
- A stock ticker
- Python with internet access
- The quarter to cover (optional)
You get
- Actual versus expected results
- Beat or miss sizes
- Margin trends over recent quarters
- Share price reaction to the report
Use it when
- A company just reported and you need the short version.
- You want to see whether a miss was small or large.
- You want margin trends across recent quarters.
- You need to explain a big price move to a client.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code.
