What it does
A checked setup for a fluid flow simulation, a run plan with strict limits, and a review of the results. It stops a finished run from being mistaken for a correct one. You state the equations, units, boundaries, starting conditions and what counts as acceptable. The skill picks a FluidSim solver, writes a plan with limits on CPU, memory, disk, time and time step, and checks it with a validator and a resource estimate. A dry-run script comes next, then a small test run. It inspects energy budgets and divergence, refines grid and step size separately, and only then prepares a larger job. You need Python.
You give it
- Equations and units
- Domain, boundaries and starting conditions
- Forcing and outputs you want
- Acceptance criteria
- CPU, memory and time limits (optional)
You get
- Validated simulation plan
- Dry-run script
- Pilot run checks
- Grid and time step study
- Record of versions, settings and outputs
Use it when
- You want to set up a turbulence or periodic flow simulation in Python.
- You worry a run finished but the numbers cannot be trusted.
- You need limits so a test run does not use all your memory or disk.
- You need to record versions and settings so a result can be repeated.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run Python code and use computing power.
