What it does
A test plan for your financial controls with sample sizes and a way to rate any gaps, built for SOX-style review. You give it your key controls and get a defensible method an auditor can follow. The skill starts with scoping: which accounts and processes matter, by size and by risk, and whether each control is preventive or detective, manual or automated. It separates testing design from testing whether the control works over the period. Sample size comes from how often the control runs, from one for annual controls up to larger samples for daily ones. Failures are rated by severity, and findings are written to be fixed.
