What it does
A dashboard plan where every number earns its place, because each one ties to a decision the reader has to make. Start by saying who will look at it and what they act on. The skill sorts metrics into three levels: strategic for leaders, tactical for managers, and operational for day-to-day teams. Each level gets its own refresh pace. It then checks every candidate metric against five tests: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound. You get a one-page summary of four to six headline numbers with trend and alert markers, then department views below it. It also covers who owns each definition, so two people never report two different numbers for the same thing.
