What it does
You edit a prompt, the next few ads look better, and you switch. But you compared a handful of outputs while knowing which one was new, so you saw what you hoped to see. Or you trimmed the prompt to save money and didn't notice it started inventing claims. This skill runs a fair comparison. Each pair has the same product, buyer, facts and format, so the only difference is your change. First every ad goes through plain pass-or-fail checks: claims on your approved list, prices exact, the right product, nothing missing. Then a judge picks the better ad in each pair without knowing which is new, twice, with the order swapped, because judges tend to favour whichever they see first. A win only counts if both rounds agree. At the end it counts failures, wins and cost per usable ad, and checks the wins against a simple table that…
You give it
- The ads your old prompt made, saved before you changed anything
- The ads your new prompt made from the same briefs
- The briefs, with the approved facts and offer terms for each
- Token counts, spend and failures for both runs (optional)
You get
- A pass-or-fail result for every ad, with outright failures listed for each side
- A blind pick for each pair, judged twice with the order swapped, and the reasons
- Wins, ties and losses checked against the wins-needed table, plus cost per usable ad
- A one-paragraph decision on whether to switch
- A win score out of 100 (the new version's share of decided pairs) and each side's pass rate
Use it when
- You rewrote a prompt or skill and want to know if the ads really improved.
- You cut down the information you give the AI to save money and want to check quality didn't drop.
- You're choosing between two versions of a prompt and want a fair test before rolling one out.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Before you change anything, save the outputs your current prompt makes. You can't do this fairly afterwards.
- Run the new prompt on exactly the same briefs and paste both sets, labelled by brief.
- Attach the approved facts and offer terms for each brief.
- For a fairer result, have a second person or a fresh chat do the picking without knowing which side is new.
