What it does
A put-call ratio that tells the truth. Raw ratios can look bullish only because of thousands of nearly worthless far out-of-the-money calls. This skill splits those out so you see where real money went. For each ticker it sorts contracts into real calls, lottery calls, real puts and lottery puts. Real means a strike within 5 percent of the stock price and meaningful premium. You get a corrected ratio, the share of volume that is lottery tickets and a breakdown by expiry. It flags shifts such as a ratio change above 0.3, open interest jumps above 30 percent or volatility spikes above 20 percent against a recent baseline. Needs a Polygon.io API key. This is analysis, not financial advice.
You give it
- Tickers or a watchlist
- A Polygon.io API key
- Time window or baseline (optional)
- Sectors or event names (optional)
You get
- Real versus raw put-call ratio
- Lottery share of volume
- Per-expiry breakdown
- Anomaly flags
- Bullish, bearish or neutral label
Use it when
- A stock's put-call ratio looks extremely bullish and you doubt it.
- You want to tell hedging from cheap speculation.
- You track a watchlist and want alerts on unusual options activity.
- You compare options flow across sectors before an event.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can reach the Polygon data service with your key.
