What it does
Find out how a system with waiting lines will behave before you build it or change it. You get a simulation with repeated runs and a clear summary, such as average wait, how busy each resource is, and how much the results vary. You describe the process: who arrives, what they wait for, and how long each step takes. The skill first writes down the question, the boundary of the model, the time units and when a run ends. It then builds the model in Python with SimPy, sets a warm-up period and run length, and repeats the run many times. Results come with ranges, not a single lucky number. Python and uv are needed.
You give it
- Description of the process and its steps
- Arrival rates and step durations
- The question you want answered
- Python with uv installed
You get
- Simulation code
- Waits, usage and queue lengths
- Repeated runs with ranges
- Plain summary of results
Use it when
- You want to know how many staff or machines a busy shop floor needs.
- A queue at a service desk keeps growing and you need to test fixes.
- You are sizing a warehouse or logistics flow before spending money.
- You need results that show spread, not a single average.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code.
