What it does

Research reports fail quietly. The question was never broken down, so the search found the easy sources and missed the key one. The report reads well, and three of its claims rest on nothing, including the one the reader will quote. Nobody checks, because checking means reading every source again. This workflow builds the report so it can be checked. It outlines the question into sub-questions and says what evidence would answer each. It searches scholarly databases and public sources and keeps a shortlist with a note on each. It writes the report with a citation on every claim, in a format the reader can follow back. Then a separate pass reads the report against the sources and flags every claim they do not support, so it is fixed, softened or cut before anyone reads it.

Steps

  1. Research question outliner: Paste a research question. Get sub-questions, sources to find and what a good answer needs.
  2. Scholarly database searcher: Ask a research question. Get papers, preprints, citations and open full text from 18 free sources, with the search shown.
  3. Cited research report writer: Ask a question. Get a cited report with each claim checked against its source quote. Uses many tokens. Scrapes sites.
  4. Unsupported claim spotter: Paste a draft. Get every claim that needs a source, ranked by risk, with the kind of source to find.

How to use it

  1. Download the handoff pack. It's a zip with HANDOFF.md and every skill file this workflow uses.
