What it does
Refunds feel like part of doing business, so most owners never look at them closely. But each one has a cause. A photo that makes a product look bigger. A size chart that is off. A box that lets things break. Fix the cause and the refunds stop. This agent reads your returns and refunds each month. It finds products whose refund rate is far above your store's, counts the reasons, and says whether the listing, the fit or the damage is the likely cause. It prices the worst ones over 90 days, checks how fast you refund, and flags orders with odd refund patterns. You get one fix to make first. It refunds and changes nothing itself.
You give it
- A connection to your Shopify store, or exports of refunds and returns
- Product costs, so written-off stock is priced (strongly advised)
- What changed last month, such as a new supplier or a rewritten listing (optional)
- Brand brain (optional)
You get
- Your refund rate by product against the store's rate
- Return reasons per standout product and the likely cause
- What returns cost over 90 days, product by product
- The one fix to make first, and the rest in order
Use it when
- Refunds are a visible cost and you do not know which products cause them.
- You think a listing or a size guide misleads, but cannot prove it.
- You want to check refunds are paid on time and the exchange share is not falling.
How to use it
- Add the agent in Claude Code, or save it in .claude/agents, and connect your store.
- Ask it to review last month's returns on the 3rd.
- Read the fix to make first. Check the listing, size guide or packaging it names.
- Tell the agent what you changed. It saves that next to the product's rate.
- Run it again next month. It shows whether the rate fell.
