Hire an AI project contract cash flow checker

Share certified contract payments, approved deductions, actual receipts, costs and the lender's rules for debt repayment cash. You get two linked reviews, source notes and gaps.

What you give

  • The approved deductions and the cap that limits them (from the payment clause of the contract)
  • The dates each invoice went out and each payment arrived (from invoices and bank statements)
  • The reporting date, currency and scale, such as USD thousands

What you get

  • The deduction applied after the cap, and any amount above it
  • Cash available for debt service, with each cost taken off once
  • Unreceived and disputed amounts, listed as gaps
  • The basis used, accrual or actual cash, stated plainly

An example

A public body has certified this period's availability payment and you need the cash a lender would count.

You ask: “Share certified contract payments, approved deductions, actual receipts, costs and the lender's rules for debt repayment cash. Use the material I attach and ask for anything essential that is missing.”

You get back:

  • 1 PAYMENT CHECK. Gross payment, the deduction applied after the cap, any excess above it, and net certified payment.
  • RECEIPT TIMING. What arrived in the period, what is certified but not yet received, and what is disputed.
  • 2 CASH AVAILABLE. Receipts less operating payments and adjustments, each taken off once, ending in cash available for debt service.

An example, not your task.

Details

Everything it can hand back

Your task sets the actual outputs. The specialist picks the methods that cover them.

  • The deduction applied after the cap, and any amount above it
  • Net certified payment, kept apart from cash actually received
  • Cash available for debt service, with each cost taken off once
  • Unreceived and disputed amounts, listed as gaps
  • The basis used, accrual or actual cash, stated plainly
  • Missing facts, and checks that could not run

How it does the job well

  • Start from the user problem and the evidence for it, then the solution.
  • Write decisions down with the reason and the options you rejected.
  • Keep scope small enough to ship and learn. Name what is out of scope.
  • Define how success will be measured before building.

Mistakes it avoids

  • Treating opinions or one loud request as proven demand.
  • Specs that skip edge cases, error states or dependencies.
  • Roadmaps with dates but no owners or confidence levels.

What a good result looks like

An example, not your task: A public body has certified this period's availability payment and you need the cash a lender would count.

  • SOURCES. Each input with its source, date, currency and scale, and the accounting basis used.
  • MISSING and CHECKS MISSED. Each gap and the line it stops, and every check that failed or could not run.

How the work is checked

  • A certified net payment is not assumed received; operating costs are deducted once; source cash and financing exclusions reconcile. Actual receipt and payment sources do not receive a second working-capital deduction; accrual and cash-basis routes are explicitly distinguished.
  • Trace each material input to its source, date, currency, scale, sign and reporting period. Retain unresolved MISSING: lines.
  • Keep hardcoded inputs separate from live formulas. Inspect changed inputs, actual recalculation, exported formulas and saved-file reopening.
  • Distinguish a real zero, unavailable evidence and an inapplicable ratio. Never force a financial statement tie with an unexplained plug.
  • States which checks passed, failed or could not run, and names missing inputs.

These checks have not been run against a model yet. Your AI uses them to check its own work.

Capabilities

  • Availability payment deduction checker. Checks the certified gross payment against the approved deductions and their cap. Hands step 2 the net certified payment and the bank-received timing as two separate figures. Check before moving on: gross less the capped deduction ties to net.
  • Project cash available bridge. Starts from cash actually received, takes off operating payments and the lender's adjustments once each, and lists unreceived or disputed amounts as gaps. States the basis. Cash sources get no second working capital deduction. Accrual sources use the signed working capital bridge.

Inputs and helpful context

The specialist starts from the task brief. Only active methods require their inputs.

For the primary method, when used

  • The certified availability payment for the period (from the payment certificate)
  • The approved deductions and the cap that limits them (from the payment clause of the contract)
  • The dates each invoice went out and each payment arrived (from invoices and bank statements)
  • Operating costs for the period, and whether your figures are accrual or actual cash (from your accounts)
  • The lender's definition of cash available for debt service, with taxes, capital spending and working capital (from the financing agreement)
  • The reporting date, currency and scale, such as USD thousands

Helpful context (optional)

  • The signed contract's payment and deduction clauses, not a summary of them.
  • The financing agreement's wording on cash available for debt service.
  • A named reviewer who knows the contract.

Tools and access

  • A spreadsheet engine and file-capable AI: Builds a workbook with inputs, formulas and checks you can click into. In plain chat it returns the same tables as text and says no workbook was made.
  • Your bank statements: They give the actual receipt dates and amounts, which are facts, not estimates.
  • Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini: Any of them can do these sums in a chat.
  • An AI that can make spreadsheet files: It can build the workbook, recalculate it and check that it reopens.
  • Node.js 20 or later (optional): Runs the small script that comes with the skill, for a second check of the numbers.
  • A spreadsheet engine and file-capable AI: Create, recalculate, render and reopen the requested native workbook.
  • Node.js 20 or later: Run the bundled dependency-free reference calculation against explicit numeric inputs.

Functions and deliverables

  • Project contract cash flow checker: Check contract deductions and payment timing, then calculate how much project cash can be used to repay debt.
  • Project availability payment deduction checker: Share certified project payments, approved charges and the contract cap. Get capped deductions, exceptions and the cash left after stated costs.
    • The deduction actually applied, after the cap
    • Any deduction above the cap, shown as an exception
    • The net payment after deductions and other approved charges
    • The operating cash left after operating costs
    • A list of missing facts and checks it could not run
    • A small workbook with the same sums, if your AI can make files
  • Project cash for debt checker: Share project revenue, costs and financing definitions. Check cash available for debt payments without counting cash changes twice.
    • An editable workbook with the cash available bridge, built on your stated basis.
    • A source index showing where each input came from and its date.
    • A reconciliation table that ties the bridge to source cash and the contract definition.
    • A list of missing inputs and a CHECKS MISSED list.
  • Invoice financing cash flow checker: Share operating cash and matched invoice-financing records. See how early advances changed the timing of reported cash.
    • The cash pulled forward, as advances less matched customer receipts
    • An analytical operating cash figure beside the reported one
    • Fees shown as real costs, not removed
    • Sources, assumptions and a list of anything missing
    • An editable workbook, if your AI can make spreadsheet files
  • Product context file writer: Share product facts, audience and positioning. Get a reviewed context file that other marketing skills can reference.
    • A product marketing context file
    • A summary of what the file already holds
    • A change log of updates
    • Gaps you still need to fill

Tasks you can use it for

  • A public body has certified this period's availability payment and you need the cash a lender would count.
  • Deductions for poor performance were applied and you are not sure the cap was kept.
  • An invoice went out in one quarter and the bank receipt landed in the next.
  • Your cash available for debt service looks too high and you suspect working capital was counted twice.

Limits to check before starting

  • The project is paid by traffic or demand, not a fixed payment. Use the Toll road debt repayment modeller workflow.
  • You already have project cash and want to size repayments and cover. Use the Project debt repayment modeler workflow.
  • You only need to check one payment against its cap. Use the Project availability payment deduction checker.
  • You want the contract read, or a dispute settled. A person who knows the contract has to do that.

Best way to use this role

Give it one clear outcome, the actual files and a definition of done. Keep the work in one AI project so it can reuse checked context and earlier files.

  • Download the workflow pack and give it to an AI that can read files, such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini. Use one that can make spreadsheets if you want a workbook.
  • Attach the payment certificate, the payment and deduction clauses, your bank statements and your operating cost schedule. Paste the lender's cash definition. Say whether your operating figures are accrual or actual cash.
  • After step 1, check that net payment equals gross less the capped deduction. Then check that the received amount comes from the bank, not from the certificate.
  • After step 2, check that each cost comes off once and the basis matches your figures. A cash figure must not get a second working capital deduction.
  • Fill every MISSING line before anyone relies on the result. Nothing here pays, sends or files anything. A person who knows the agreement checks it before anyone acts.
