Hire an AI paid media auditor

Paste your Google, Microsoft or Meta ad exports. Get ranked account problems, each with proof from your data, a fix and the effort needed.

What you give

  • The platforms to check, such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads or Meta
  • Exports for the last 3 to 6 months, such as campaigns, ad groups, search terms or keywords, ads and conversion settings
  • Your goal, your target cost per sale or return on ad spend, and your monthly budget

What you get

  • A plain-language summary for someone who does not run ads
  • A rough size of the impact for the top findings, shown as an estimate from your numbers
  • A list of checks it could not run because the data was missing
  • A 30-day order for making the fixes

An example

You are taking over an existing ad account and want to know what is wrong before you touch anything.

You ask: “Paste your Google, Microsoft or Meta ad exports. Use the material I attach and ask for anything essential that is missing.”

You get back:

  • Summary. A short note in plain words with the biggest problem, the biggest chance and the first step.
  • Findings. Each problem with its severity, proof from your data, why it matters, a fix, effort and an impact estimate.
  • Checks not run. Areas it could not review for lack of data, and the export that would fix that.

An example, not your task.

Details

Everything it can hand back

Your task sets the actual outputs. The specialist picks the methods that cover them.

  • A plain-language summary for someone who does not run ads
  • A table of findings ranked critical, high, medium or low, each with proof, why it matters, a fix and effort
  • A rough size of the impact for the top findings, shown as an estimate from your numbers
  • A list of checks it could not run because the data was missing
  • A 30-day order for making the fixes

How it does the job well

  • Never state a benchmark, average or policy rule as fact unless the user supplied the source. Mark it CONFIRM:.
  • Do not make or imply a change in the account. Say what the user would change, and let them do it.
  • For regulated fields such as health, finance or legal, flag ad policy risks and tell the user to check the platform's policy and a qualified adviser.
  • Write for one named audience and one action. Each asset has a single job.
  • Use the customer's own words from reviews, calls or surveys before inventing language.
  • Every claim needs proof the business can show. Leave unproven claims out or mark them.
  • Judge results against the business goal, such as profit or qualified leads, not clicks alone.

Mistakes it avoids

  • Generic copy that could fit any brand.
  • Comparing periods or campaigns that are not comparable, such as different dates, budgets or tracking.
  • Calling a test winner before there is enough data.

What a good result looks like

An example, not your task: You are taking over an existing ad account and want to know what is wrong before you touch anything.

  • Summary. A short note in plain words with the biggest problem, the biggest chance and the first step.
  • Findings. Each problem with its severity, proof from your data, why it matters, a fix, effort and an impact estimate.
  • Checks not run. Areas it could not review for lack of data, and the export that would fix that.
  • 30-day fix order. The fixes grouped by week, with the most serious first.
  • Open questions. Things your data could not settle, and what each answer would change.

How the work is checked

  • Every claim traces to the brand brain or supplied evidence.
  • Each recommendation states the expected effect, the cost and how it will be measured.
  • Copy fits the platform's length limits and the brand voice.
  • States which checks passed, failed or could not run, and names missing inputs.

These checks have not been run against a model yet. Your AI uses them to check its own work.

A second opinion

Before it hands back, your AI reviews the draft the way Rosser Reeves would. This is a way of reviewing the work. It does not mean they wrote or endorse it.

Capabilities

  • Set the scope. It confirms the platforms, the date range, your goal and your cost target, and lists which areas your data can cover.
  • Check each area. It reviews structure, tracking, bids and budgets, keywords and targeting, ads, product feed, competitors and landing pages, as far as your exports show.
  • Prove each finding. It keeps a finding only if your data shows it, and quotes the numbers. Otherwise it turns it into a question for you.
  • Rate and size. It grades severity and estimates the impact from your own spend and results, with its assumptions stated.
  • List what was not checked. It names every area it could not review and the export that would let it.
  • Order the fixes. It writes the summary and puts fixes in an order a person can do in 30 days.

How the role works

  1. Checks your task, context and available tools.
  2. Picks the methods needed and prepares a work plan.
  3. Carries out supported tasks, with each method's limits and review gates.
  4. Checks the real deliverables and corrects supported faults.
  5. Hands back files, evidence and unresolved gaps.

Your specialist's working setup

PLAYBOOK.md, SKILLS.md, BEST_PRACTICES.md, CHECKS.md and HANDOFF.md guide the work and its checked deliverables.

Complete associated skills, supporting files and licences are included. Choose only the methods needed for the actual task. Keep context, working files and accepted feedback in your AI project.

Inputs and helpful context

The specialist starts from the task brief. Only active methods require their inputs.

For the primary method, when used

  • The platforms to check, such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads or Meta
  • Exports for the last 3 to 6 months, such as campaigns, ad groups, search terms or keywords, ads and conversion settings
  • Your goal, your target cost per sale or return on ad spend, and your monthly budget
  • What a conversion means for your business, such as a sale, a booking or a lead
  • A note on how tracking is set up, such as tag manager, Google Analytics, pixel or server events (optional)
  • The change history from the platform, auction insights and landing page links (optional)

Helpful context (optional)

  • Search terms and conversion settings, which show the most waste and the most tracking faults.
  • Your change history, so it can link a drop to a change.
  • Your profit margin, so it can judge cost per sale against what you can afford.

Tools and access

  • Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini with file upload: You can attach CSV exports so the AI reads real numbers instead of your summary.
  • Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads Manager reports: Each platform lets you download the tables this audit needs.

Tasks you can use it for

  • You are taking over an existing ad account and want to know what is wrong before you touch anything.
  • Results have slipped over several months and you want a ranked list of likely causes across the whole account.
  • You are pitching a new client and want to show what their current setup misses.
  • You plan to double your spend and want to know if tracking and structure can handle it.

Limits to check before starting

  • You run only Meta, or a Google Shopping store, and want a score. Use the Meta Ads 30-check account auditor or the Google Ads store account auditor.
  • You advertise on TikTok, LinkedIn or many platforms at once. Use the Paid ad account auditor.
  • One number fell right after a change and you need the likely cause. Use the Google Ads dip investigator.
  • You want the agent to change the account or settle a billing or policy dispute. It only reports. Use the platform's own support.

Best way to use this role

Give it one clear outcome, the actual files and a definition of done. Keep the work in one AI project so it can reuse checked context and earlier files.

  • Download the pack from this page and add it to your AI as a skill. If you cannot, paste SKILL.md into a new chat, then paste references/source-agent.md after it.
  • Download reports from each platform and attach them, or paste the tables. Add your goal, target cost or return, budget and what counts as a conversion. No code is needed.
  • Type "Audit this account. Rank findings by severity and show the numbers that prove each one."
  • Read the critical findings first. Open the platform and confirm each one yourself before you change a setting. Then read the list of checks it could not run.
  • Make the fixes in the platform yourself, one group at a time, and export again after a few weeks to see what moved.
