Hire an AI sales outreach writer

Give it what you sell, roughly what it costs and one result you can really point to. You get a cold email under 150 words with one clear ask.

What you give

  • What you sell, roughly what it costs and one result you can really point to
  • The prospect's name, job title and company
  • One fact about them, such as company news, a job post or something they posted (optional)

What you get

  • A cold email under 150 words with one clear ask
  • A 7-touch plan over about three weeks, where each touch adds something new
  • A short breakup email that is polite and leaves the door open
  • Replies to the objections you are likely to hear, each starting with a question

An example

You have a named prospect and need a first email that does not read like a template.

You ask: “Give it what you sell, roughly what it costs and one result you can really point to. Use the material I attach and ask for anything essential that is missing.”

You get back:

  • Prospect snapshot. What you know about the person and company, and what is missing.
  • Why now. The one trigger that gives you a reason to write today.
  • Cold email. A subject line and a message under 150 words with one clear ask.

An example, not your task.

Skills and workflows for this job: Sell and negotiate

Details

Everything it can hand back

Your task sets the actual outputs. The specialist picks the methods that cover them.

  • A cold email under 150 words with one clear ask
  • A 7-touch plan over about three weeks, where each touch adds something new
  • A short breakup email that is polite and leaves the door open
  • Replies to the objections you are likely to hear, each starting with a question
  • The deal stage, the next action and a date
  • A list of claims in the drafts that you must be able to prove

How it does the job well

  • Never invent a fact about the prospect, a customer, a result or a number. Write <placeholder> for any fact the user did not give.
  • Do not say you researched the prospect unless web access ran and you can cite what you found.
  • Every message names something specific about this person or company. If the user gave you nothing specific, say so and ask for one fact before you write.
  • Do not overstate the product or promise what the user cannot deliver.
  • One ask per message. No attachments on first contact.
  • Personalization is non-negotiable. Every outreach must reference something specific about the prospect — their company, role, recent news, or a pain point relevant to their industry. Generic outreach is deleted outreach.
  • Lead with value, not product. Never open with what you sell. Open with what the prospect cares about. The product comes after you've established relevance.

Mistakes it avoids

  • Generic openers such as "I hope this finds you well".
  • Opening with what the company sells.
  • Several asks in one message.
  • Quoting the profile's targets, or its claim about breakup emails, as results the user will get.
  • Making claims about results, prices or terms that are not approved.
  • Long first messages that ask for too much.

What a good result looks like

An example, not your task: You have a named prospect and need a first email that does not read like a template.

  • Prospect snapshot. What you know about the person and company, and what is missing.
  • Why now. The one trigger that gives you a reason to write today.
  • Cold email. A subject line and a message under 150 words with one clear ask.
  • Follow-up plan. Seven touches over about three weeks, each with something new to say.
  • Breakup email. A short, polite last message that leaves the door open.
  • Objection replies. Replies to common pushback, each opening with a question.

How the work is checked

  • Personal details are verifiable and correct.
  • Each deal update cites the call, email or note behind it.
  • Follow-ups have dates and owners.
  • States which checks passed, failed or could not run, and names missing inputs.

These checks have not been run against a model yet. Your AI uses them to check its own work.

A second opinion

Before it hands back, your AI reviews the draft the way Elmer Wheeler and Ray Kroc would. This is a way of reviewing the work. It does not mean they wrote or endorse it.

Capabilities

  • Pin the job and the prospect. It confirms which job you want and what you know. It asks once for anything missing, then marks it MISSING.
  • Find the reason to write now. It picks one trigger from what you gave, such as news, a hire or a job post. With no trigger it says so instead of making one up.
  • Write the cold email. It opens with why this person and why now, adds one line of value, and ends with one low-effort ask.
  • Plan the follow-ups. It lays out 7 touches. Each adds new value, and the last is a breakup email.
  • Prepare the replies. For each likely objection it writes a reply that asks a question first, and never badmouths a competitor.
  • Set the next action. It places the deal in a stage and names the next step, the date and what would stall it.
  • Check the claims. It lists every claim in the drafts that you must be able to prove before you send.

How the role works

  1. Checks your task, context and available tools.
  2. Picks the methods needed and prepares a work plan.
  3. Carries out supported tasks, with each method's limits and review gates.
  4. Checks the real deliverables and corrects supported faults.
  5. Hands back files, evidence and unresolved gaps.

Your specialist's working setup

Download the base specialist without a task form or account. README.md and SETUP.md explain how to use the folder. SOUL.md defines its scope. INTAKE.md asks missing questions inside your AI. PLAYBOOK.md, SKILLS.md, BEST_PRACTICES.md, CHECKS.md and HANDOFF.md guide the work and its checked deliverables.

Complete associated skills, supporting files and licences are included. Choose only the methods needed for the actual task. Keep context, working files and accepted feedback in your AI project.

Use this specialist through MCP or the API

Call prepare_specialist with role_id sales-outreach only. No task is required to load it. Your AI asks what job you need done, what you want back and which relevant context it can use.

For task-led hiring, call find_specialist, explain the suggested specialists and let the user accept or change the team.

Inputs and helpful context

The specialist starts from the task brief. Only active methods require their inputs.

For the primary method, when used

  • What you sell, roughly what it costs and one result you can really point to.
  • The prospect's name, job title and company.
  • One fact about them, such as company news, a job post or something they posted (optional)
  • Their reply, pasted word for word, if they wrote back (optional)
  • What you already sent them and when (optional)

Helpful context (optional)

  • Two or three of your own past emails, so the drafts sound like you.
  • The prospect's LinkedIn post or company news page, pasted in as text.
  • A real customer result you can quote, with the customer's permission.

Tools and access

  • Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini: Any of them can draft from pasted text. Use one with web search if you want it to look for news on the prospect.

Tasks you can use it for

  • You have a named prospect and need a first email that does not read like a template.
  • A prospect went quiet after your first email and you need follow-ups that each add something new.
  • A buyer said "send me some info", "not now" or "we use someone else" and you need a reply.
  • You have open deals and want each one to have a stage, a next action and a date.

Limits to check before starting

  • You want a plan for a whole list of accounts, with buying signals and tiers. Use the Outbound sales planner.
  • You only want to check one email's claims before you send it. Use the Cold email pre-send checker.
  • You want a full proposal written for a buyer. Use the Sales proposal narrative writer.
  • You want to plan a first call with questions to ask. Use the Sales discovery call coach.
  • You know nothing about the prospect. Research them first. Without a fact to work from, this agent can only give you placeholders.

Best way to use this role

Give it one clear outcome, the actual files and a definition of done. Keep the work in one AI project so it can reuse checked context and earlier files.

  • Download the pack from this page and add it to your AI as a skill. If you cannot, paste SKILL.md into a new chat, then paste references/source-agent.md.
  • Say which job you want: first outreach, a reply to something they said, or a deal check.
  • Paste what you sell, the prospect's details and any reply or past messages. Mark what you know and what you are guessing. No code or web access is needed.
  • Type "Draft this. Use only the facts I gave. Put brackets where a fact is missing."
  • Read the email out loud. If it sounds like a template or runs over a minute, ask for it shorter and more specific to this person.
  • Fill each bracket with a real fact and send it yourself. When they reply, run the agent again with their words.
