What it does

People do not read ads from the top left like a page. The eye lands on the biggest picture, then drops down to whatever sits below it. If the headline is lost, the logo is small or the bottom is cluttered, the ad is skipped in a second. This skill finds where the eye lands first, which is usually the picture. It checks that the picture sits above the headline so the eye moves down, that the headline is a readable size in the real placement, and that the look fits or stands out from the pages around it. It cuts clutter from the bottom, checks the brand is easy to see, and judges the content before the typeface. Each fix names the part of the layout it changes.
