What it does
Schema files that make an Actor's results show up as a clear table in Apify Console, so anyone can read a run without opening raw data. It suits Actors already built on Apify, which needs a paid account. The skill reads the Actor's source first and never guesses what the code saves. It finds the settings file and any existing schemas, and copies the style of other Actors in the same repository. It then writes the dataset schema, the output schema, and a key-value store schema when the Actor uses one. Every field is marked as possibly empty, because websites and APIs are unpredictable. Examples use made-up data. Finally it updates the Actor settings to link the files.
You give it
- The Actor project folder
- Notes on what each field means (optional)
- Other Actors to match (optional)
You get
- A dataset schema for the results table
- An output schema
- A key-value store schema (when needed)
- Updated Actor settings
Use it when
- Your Actor's results look like a wall of JSON in the Console.
- You are about to publish an Actor and want a tidy results view.
- Several Actors in a repo need schemas that match each other.
- Your code saves files to a store and you want them listed.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can read your project files.
