What it does
Name a disease, gene or drug and get back linked facts from a public biomedical knowledge graph, each tied to its source. You see what is documented, with publications and provider details, so you can check it yourself. The skill sends tightly bounded questions to the NCATS ARAX service. It takes reviewed identifiers and clear relationship types, runs one-hop or two-hop lookups, and saves the full exchange. It then reads the edge bindings and provenance. Anything returned is a lead to verify, not a finding. It uses public data only, so never send patient details or private research ideas. It needs Python and internet access.
You give it
- A disease, gene or drug name
- The type of link you care about
- Reviewed identifiers (optional)
- A limit on how far to look (optional)
You get
- A list of linked facts
- The source and publications for each link
- The saved query and raw response
- Warnings about partial or weak results
Use it when
- You want to see what is linked to a gene in public knowledge sources.
- You need citations behind a claimed drug-disease link.
- You are building a list of leads to check by hand.
- You want to see which sources back each relationship.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can reach the NCATS Translator service.
