What it does
A project plan where students solve a real need in their community and meet your curriculum goals at the same time. The help is not a side activity. The learning comes from doing it. You name the need and the topic. The plan starts from what the community partner actually asks for, not what the school assumes. It then ties each task to a direct curriculum skill, such as analysing food bank data in a maths unit. It builds in reflection before, during and after the work, because that is where the learning sticks. It also treats the partner as an equal, with a clear role for them and a way to show students' work back to them.
You give it
- A real community need
- The curriculum topic or skill to cover
- Year group
- Community partner (optional)
- Project length (optional)
You get
- A step-by-step project plan
- Links from each task to a curriculum skill
- Reflection prompts for before, during and after
- Partner roles and a way to share results
Use it when
- You want a unit that serves a local group and still covers your set curriculum.
- A community project at your school feels like a nice extra with no clear learning in it.
- You need a plan that a local charity or care home can say yes to.
- You are building a term-long project for one year group.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
