What it does
A part-by-part map of an assignment showing where AI use helps students learn and where it would wreck the point of the task. A history essay, for example, might let students use AI to find sources but not to build the argument they are meant to practise. The AI breaks the assignment into parts, links each to a learning goal, and rates AI use as helpful, neutral or harmful for each. It then writes a plain rule you can hand to students, compares AI help with ordinary search where useful, and suggests ways to redesign the weak spots so the real thinking can't be handed off.
You give it
- The assignment description
- What students should learn from it
- Your current AI rule (optional)
- Year group and subject (optional)
You get
- A map of each part rated for AI use
- A clear student-facing rule
- Search versus AI guidance (optional)
- Redesign ideas for weak spots
Use it when
- Students are using AI on your essay and you don't know what to allow.
- You need an AI rule for one assignment, not a blanket ban.
- A task feels too easy to fake and you want to redesign it.
- You have to explain to parents or leaders why a rule exists.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
