What it does
A payoff schedule that shows the day you become debt-free, and what each method costs you. You get a month-by-month timeline for the snowball and the avalanche, with total interest and finish date side by side. It starts with an inventory: each debt's balance, rate and minimum payment, plus any 0 percent offers that end soon or accounts in collections. Then it asks how much extra cash you can add each month. Avalanche sends extra money to the highest rate first. Snowball sends it to the smallest balance first for quick wins. It rolls freed-up payments forward and shows which one fits how you behave.
