What it does
Proof that your release is live, not just that the pipeline went green. Many bad deploys fail silently: the tool says deployed, but users still get the old version. This gate catches that. It works in three phases and tells you not to skip ahead. Before the deploy, a pre-flight checks the common silent failures, including migrations, flags and staged rollouts. During the deploy it watches what the command really did. After it, it confirms the running version is the new one by checking the live site or service. Only then may the word shipped be used. Run it before anything that pushes to production or staging.
