What it does
Expected credit losses for your loans or receivables, worked out the way IFRS 9 or CECL requires, with the number you need for the loss allowance. It groups assets that behave alike, then puts each in a stage: performing, higher risk since the start, or credit-impaired. It estimates three inputs: probability of default, loss if default happens, and the amount exposed. These are multiplied and discounted to today's value. Base, upside and downside economic scenarios are weighted by their likelihood. For trade receivables it offers a simpler approach. It ends with the journal entry that books the allowance.
You give it
- Loan or receivable list with balances
- Default history or ratings
- Asset type and accounting standard
- Economic scenarios and weights (optional)
You get
- Expected loss per group
- Stage assignments
- Scenario-weighted total
- Journal entry for the allowance
- Notes on method for audit
Use it when
- You are closing the books and need a loan loss provision.
- Your receivables are aging and you must estimate what you will not collect.
- You are moving from incurred loss to expected loss reporting.
- An auditor wants to see how you built your allowance.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code and read your files.
