What it does
Find which stocks rise and fall together with the one you care about, and how strong that link is. Give it a single ticker and it lists its closest peers; give it a pair or a group and it measures how tightly they move. Price history comes from Yahoo Finance through a Python library, so it needs code to run and an internet connection. It works from daily returns over one year by default and keeps links with a correlation of 0.60 or higher. Four modes cover finding peers, measuring a pair including beta, clustering a group into a correlation grid, and rolling correlation to see how the link shifts over time. It is research only, not advice.
You give it
- One ticker, a pair, or a list of tickers
- Lookback period (optional)
- Minimum correlation to show (optional)
- A way to run Python
You get
- A ranked list of correlated peers
- Correlation and beta for pairs
- A correlation grid for a group
- Rolling correlation over time
Use it when
- You hold one stock and want to know what else drops when it drops.
- You want to see whether two companies really move as a pair.
- You are mapping a sector and need to group tickers that behave alike.
- You want to see if a link between two stocks has weakened lately.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code.
