What it does
Market data on any listed company, pulled into a tidy table from Yahoo Finance. Give a ticker and say what you want, and you get current quotes, price history, statements, options chains, dividends, analyst targets or holdings. It matches your request to the right data type: income statement, balance sheet, cash flow, dividends and splits, earnings estimates, insider and fund holdings, news, or sector data. It can compare several tickers and run simple screens. It uses a Python library, so it needs code to run and installs the package if missing. Data is for research and learning only, and the library has no tie to Yahoo.
You give it
- A ticker symbol or list of tickers
- The type of data you want
- A date range (optional)
- A way to run Python
You get
- Price tables for the period
- Financial statements
- Options chains or dividend history
- Analyst estimates and targets
- Holdings and news lists
Use it when
- You need five years of price history for a chart or model.
- You want a company's cash flow statement in a spreadsheet-ready table.
- You are comparing the numbers of several tickers in one go.
- You want to see analyst price targets and recent ratings.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code.
