Mixed-signal waveform analyzer
Give it circuit waveform data. Get phase noise, jitter, timing and ADC accuracy measured.
Mixed-signal waveform analyzer is a free AI skill for the job "Build and ship software". Give the instructions to an AI assistant that supports the required files and tools, then review its output.

What it does
Measurements from your circuit simulation waveforms: phase noise, jitter, timing and converter accuracy, worked out with MATLAB Mixed-Signal Blockset functions. Give it the data and it picks the right function. It measures phase noise, jitter, rise and fall time, duty cycle, lock time, and ADC and DAC error. It resamples uneven data onto an even grid, and imports HSpice files. For phase noise it asks which offsets to use, defaulting to 10 kHz to 10 MHz, and sets resolution bandwidth to half the lowest offset. Plain SNR or FFT work goes to the Signal Processing Toolbox.
You give it
- Waveform data or HSpice files
- The measurement you want
- Frequency offsets for phase noise (optional)
- Clock or signal details
You get
- MATLAB code for the measurement
- Phase noise, jitter or timing values
- INL and DNL results
- Data resampled to an even grid
Use it when
- You simulated a VCO and need phase noise at set offsets.
- You must turn a phase noise profile into RMS jitter.
- Your simulator gave unevenly spaced samples.
- You need INL and DNL for an ADC design.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run MATLAB with Mixed-Signal Blockset.
