What it does
A classroom activity where students work out how people actually saw their world, instead of imagining what they would feel. That difference builds sound reasoning and keeps the lesson safe and honest. Given a topic in history, social science or literature, the skill designs the activity around evidence: what the person knew, valued and faced. It follows research on perspective-taking as a skill that can be learned, in steps from noticing views differ to checking your guess. Assessment looks at the quality of reasoning, use of evidence and honest uncertainty, not how emotional a student sounds. It suits teachers.
