What it does
The best product gaps are where many people search and the products they find are bad. A sub-category with an average rating under about 3.8 and strong search volume shows demand with weak products. The reviews tell you what the products get wrong. This skill asks an AI with web search for the top ten unmet pain points in a category, with proof from reviews, forums and Q&A, grouped by theme and ranked by urgency and willingness to pay. It then looks for people saying they would pay more for a fix. It lists sub-categories with low ratings and strong search. Each gap must be backed by two sources, such as review text and search volume, before it goes on your list. A single forum post is not enough. It is a variant of the product demand researcher, with the ranking and the rating gap rule added.
You give it
- A product category
- The buyer group you are targeting
- Review or Q&A text you already have (optional)
You get
- The top ten unmet pain points, grouped by theme, ranked by urgency and willingness to pay, with proof links
- Sub-categories with a low average rating but strong search
- Rank, review and seller data where you supplied it or the AI could find it
- A product concept for one narrow buyer group, as a mood board and not a design
Use it when
- You are choosing what to make or sell and want proof of unmet demand.
- You see a crowded category and want to know where buyers are unhappy.
- You have a product idea and want to know which pain to build it around.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Give the category and the buyer group. Use an AI that can search the web, or paste in review text.
- Read the ranked pains and the proof links. Open a few to check they are real.
- Check each gap on a second source, such as search volume, before you keep it.
- Pick one gap and ask for a product concept for a narrow group.
