What it does
Release notes written from your commit history, with the right version bump worked out for you. Raw git messages turn into a changelog that people can actually read. It reads commits written in the Conventional Commits style. Fixes become a patch bump, new features a minor bump, and breaking changes a major bump. It then groups the changes under headings like Added, Changed and Fixed. Parsing, version logic and writing are kept as separate steps, so you can edit the wording before publishing. A linter script also checks commit messages and can run in your build pipeline. It works on a git range or pasted commits, and uses Python scripts.
