What it does
A Slack message that people read to the end. The first line carries the news, because many people only see that line in a notification. You give your point, and the skill drafts a short message, a thread reply or a longer canvas. It writes in Slack's own formatting, which differs from standard Markdown: single asterisks for bold, angle brackets for links and mentions, and no headers. It keeps messages to one to three short paragraphs and moves long content into a canvas. It also catches common mistakes, like double asterisks that show up as raw symbols. You need Slack connected if you want it to save the draft there.
You give it
- The point you want to make
- Who it is for and which channel
- Links or people to mention (optional)
- Slack connected (optional)
You get
- A short message that leads with the news
- Correct Slack formatting
- A thread reply or canvas when it fits better
- A draft ready to send after you approve it
Use it when
- You need to announce a change to your team and want it read.
- Your Slack posts show stray asterisks and broken links.
- A long update should become a canvas instead of a wall of text.
- You want a thread reply that is short and clear.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can connect to your Slack account.
