AI Blocks › Build and ship software
Small-sample pipeline builder
Describe a data or AI workflow. Get it working end to end on a tiny sample, then scaled with cost checks.
Small-sample pipeline builder is a free AI skill for the job "Build and ship software". Give the instructions to an AI assistant that supports the required files and tools, then review its output.

What it does
A data or AI workflow that works from start to finish on a tiny sample before you spend real money on the full run. This stops the common mistake of building every stage at full size, then finding a wrong prompt ran over a whole table. First it defines what "it works" means, with one pass or fail test you can check. Then it builds the thinnest path through every stage on a few rows with the cheapest settings. After the test passes, it scales up in steps, measuring and projecting cost before each one. Only then does it add features, one at a time, re-running tests. It suits pipelines that use warehouse credits, tokens, embeddings or API calls.
You give it
- A description of the workflow and its stages
- A small sample of your data
- Your budget limit
- The tools you use, like Snowflake or dbt (optional)
- Codebase (optional)
You get
- A one-line definition of success and a pass or fail test
- A working tiny version of the whole path
- Cost projections for each scale-up step
- A cost-gated plan to full size
Use it when
- You are about to run an LLM over thousands of documents.
- A new data pipeline has several stages that have never run together.
- You worry a mistake will burn warehouse credits.
- You need a cost estimate before the full run.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code and read your project files.
