What it does
Most tests of two ads are not fair. One ran on Monday and the other on a rainy Friday. One sat at the top of the page. One was sent to your best customers. When a gap shows up, nobody can say whether the ad caused it. A split-run test removes those excuses. Both versions go out at the same moment to matched halves of the same audience, so only the thing you changed is left to explain a gap. This skill finds the one difference, lists what must stay equal, picks a way to split, and gives each version a code that never moves. It sizes the test to about a hundred replies per version, and it writes the winner rule before you launch, so you cannot move the goalposts afterwards. For many versions, it plans rounds or a control.
You give it
- The two versions
- The offer and reply path, if they are not in the versions
- Past reply rates for the same channel (optional)
- A draft (optional)
- Your offer (optional)
- Your results (optional)
You get
- The one difference being tested
