What it does
Most event posters fight for attention with a photo, six lines of detail and a logo. From across a street, none of it reads. A poster has about two seconds, so the words must do the work, and they must be big. This skill picks who will see the poster and where it hangs, then the one or two words that carry the point. It chooses a typeface whose feel matches the mood before anyone reads a word, sets those words huge and cuts everything else. It adds one joke or twist if the subject allows, plans for one word to be swapped if the date or name changes, and ends with a test from across the street.
You give it
- What the event or cause is, and the date and place
- Where the poster will hang and how far away people will see it
- The mood: serious, playful, urgent
- Your brand file (optional)
- Brand brain (optional)
You get
- The one or two words that carry the point
- A typeface feel, sizes and what is cut
- A twist, if the subject allows
- Swap points and a far-away test
Use it when
- You need a poster for an event, sale, cause or show and have no image.
- Your last poster looked busy and nobody read it.
- Details like the date may change, and you do not want to redo the design.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Describe the event and say where the poster will hang.
- Say the mood in one word.
- Print the plan at poster size, even roughly, and tape it on a wall.
- Walk to the far end of the room or street and see what you can read.
- Change the date or name on the plan to check the swap works.
