What it does
A pay-as-you-go price that customers can read, guess and trust, so nobody opens a bill and gets a shock. You get the thing to charge for, the tiers, and a pricing page that explains it. The skill starts by choosing a metric people already understand, such as API calls, compute time, storage, bandwidth or active users. It rejects made-up units like "compute credits" that no one can estimate. Then it designs free allowances, volume steps and spend caps or alerts. It adds a cost calculator and worked examples so a buyer can predict a month. It compares your plan with competitors and checks that costs grow in line with the value customers receive.
You give it
- What your product does and what it costs you to run
- Your current prices, if any (optional)
- Competitor prices you know of (optional)
- Who your customers are
You get
- A recommended usage metric
- A tier and free allowance design
- Pricing page copy with worked examples
- A cost calculator outline
Use it when
- You are launching an API or tool and must decide what to charge per unit.
- Customers complain their bill was higher than they expected.
- You want to add a usage tier next to a flat monthly plan.
- Your pricing page confuses people and sales keep explaining it.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
