What it does
Many people scroll with the sound off. Meta's own research found that many feed video ads mean almost nothing without sound, and that captions kept people watching longer. So a finished ad has to answer three questions on screen: what is it, why should I care, and what do I do now. The usual fix overdoes it: text on every scene, badges repeating captions, numbers rounded up. This skill adds as little as possible. It checks captions first, then works through a fixed order (the name, the one proof, a step a viewer could miss, the next step) and stops once the three questions are answered. Words come from the line spoken in that scene, and numbers appear exactly as approved. Each overlay stays up long enough to read and sits inside the safe area of a vertical video, clear of the app's buttons, the product, faces and hands. It…
You give it
- The approved script with scene lengths (the only words allowed on screen)
- Whether your captions are already burned in
- Screenshots of the finished video, about one every 2 to 3 seconds (attach them; your AI can see pictures)
- Your allowed copy (offer, numbers, claims, customer words) exactly as written
- Your on-screen text habits, fonts and colors (optional)
- The style, such as a person talking, clay, cartoon or demonstration (optional)
- Your offer (optional)
You get
- A short list of overlays, each with kind, exact words, start and end time, position and reason
- Which sampled frame each placement was judged on
- Moments between samples that a person needs to check
- Anything in the footage that doesn't match the script
- Any of its six checks the plan couldn't pass, named one per line
Use it when
- Your ad is finished and approved, and you want it to work for people scrolling with the sound off.
- An editor added text to every scene and the ad now feels like a slideshow.
- You want on-screen text that can't drift from your approved claims.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste the approved script with how long each scene lasts.
- Attach screenshots from the finished video, about one every 3 seconds. Your AI reads them directly.
- Paste your allowed copy and say whether captions are already burned in.
- Add the overlays to a copy of the video. Keep the clean version.
