What it does
Vague comments like "good work, add more detail" teach nobody anything. Paste the feedback you gave a learner and get it back graded, with a sharper rewrite you can send. The skill sorts each comment by level: the task itself, the method used, the learner's own self-checking, or the person. Comments about the person get cut or redirected. It then asks three questions: where is the learner going, how are they doing against that goal, and what should they do next? It also tests whether the wording is specific enough to act on.
You give it
- The feedback text you wrote or received
- What the learner was doing and the goal of the task
- A short note on the work itself (optional)
- The rubric or success criteria (optional)
- The learner's level or year group (optional)
You get
- A level-by-level diagnosis of each comment
- A check on specificity, threat and next step
- A rewritten version of the feedback
- A short list of habits to change
Use it when
- You marked a stack of essays and want to know if your comments will actually change what students do next.
- A peer reviewer gave a colleague a vague note and you want to rewrite it.
- You coach new staff and want feedback that names one clear next step.
- Your feedback keeps getting ignored and you want to see why.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
Workflows that use it
- Mark student work against a rubric and sharpen your feedback
- Prepare feedback students can act on
- Review feedback on a student reflection
