What it does
Pick a government and get its bond yield curve explained in plain words: its shape, its key slopes, and how much of each rate is real versus inflation. The skill builds the curve from free public sources such as the US Treasury and FRED. It lays the real-rate curve over the nominal one, then names the shape and reads slopes like 2s10s and 5s30s. It always states which sign it uses for a slope, so "inverted" and "steep" never get mixed up. It checks where today's reading sits against recent years before drawing any view. Missing yields stay blank. It does not cover swap curves.
You give it
- The government or market, such as US or euro area
- The date or period you care about
- The slopes you want, such as 2s10s (optional)
- The audience for the write-up (optional)
You get
- The curve shape in plain words
- Key slope readings with a stated sign convention
- A real versus nominal rate split
- Historical context for today's levels
- A source and date on every table
Use it when
- You want to know if the US curve is inverted and what that means.
- You are writing a market note and need clean slopes and real rates.
- You need to compare today's curve with the last few years.
- You want a plain explanation of what the curve says about rate expectations.
How to use it

- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code and reach the web.
