What it does
After the hard work of choosing a few good bets, the biggest risk is you. Checking every day, reacting to headlines, paying fees and tax, and selling something good in a bad month all eat the result. This skill writes the rules that keep you still. It lists two to four facts per pick that you can check, sets a few review dates, and adds up what acting costs: for example, a 1% fee on a 7% return takes about a sixth of the end result over 20 years. It limits reasons to act to three and names the reasons that do not count. It adds a cooling line, a one-week wait and a rule for spare cash. It gives no buy or sell calls on any named security.
