What it does
Cloud and AI bills creep. A forgotten server, a loop that calls a paid model again and again, or a plan that no longer fits can add up for months before anyone opens the bill. When someone does, they see one big number and no cause. This agent reads the bills every month, line by line, against the month before. It finds what moved, then picks the checks that fit your setup. If AI spend is climbing, it looks for missing caps before anything else, because a runaway loop costs more than every other saving. Each proposed fix has a monthly saving, the time it takes and what could break. It stops and asks before it stops, deletes or changes anything.
You give it
- This month's bills as a spreadsheet or export, one per provider
- Last month's bills, or let the agent save them from the first run
- The code, if you want caps added to AI calls (optional)
- What changed this month, such as a launch or a new feature (optional)
- A monthly budget (optional)
- Codebase (optional)
- A buyer brief (optional)
You get
- Each line against last month, with the sums
- The one to three lines that explain the change, and the cause if it can be found
- Spend caps and loop limits for AI calls, before any other saving
- A saving list to approve, each with its size, effort and risk
Use it when
- You pay for cloud, hosting or AI services and nobody reads the bills closely.
- Your AI bill jumped and you do not know why.
- You want to know whether last month's savings really showed up.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the agent. In Claude Code, add it as a skill or save it in .claude/agents, then ask it to run this month's check.
- Put the final bills in one folder, or attach them in the chat.
- Point it at the code if you want caps added. Give it read-only access to any account it needs to look at.
- Read the list. Say yes to the fixes you want, or make them yourself.
- Run it next month. It checks whether each fix brought its line down.
