What it does
Your command-line tool, reshaped so an AI agent can run it without breaking things. You get a clear rule set and a way to check each rule, so you know what is already safe and what still needs work. The core idea is to treat the agent like an untrusted caller. Output defaults to structured JSON, with a plain-text option for humans. Errors carry a code and a reason the agent can act on. Exit codes mean the same thing every time. Risky commands need an explicit confirmation, and any input is checked before it runs. The rules come in three levels, so you can adopt a small core first and add more later.
You give it
- A description or the help text of your command-line tool
- The commands that change or delete things
- Who or what will call it (optional)
- Any interface rules you must keep (optional)
- Codebase (optional)
You get
- A rule list sorted by priority
- A fix plan for each gap in your tool
- Examples of clean JSON output and error messages
- A pass or fail check you can run again later
Use it when
- You are building a command-line tool that scripts or AI agents will call.
- An agent keeps misreading your tool's messy text output.
- You want to check an existing tool against a clear list of safety rules.
- You need agents to be blocked from destructive commands unless a person confirms.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
