What it does
A step-by-step procedure file that an AI agent follows the same way each time, for a job you repeat. It has inputs you can change, clear steps, and firm rules the agent cannot wave off. The skill writes in a standard format called an Agent SOP, saved as a markdown file with a set name ending. Rules use three plain words: MUST for required, SHOULD for expected, MAY for optional. That gives the agent room to think but no room to skip the important parts. Each step carries examples and a fix list for common failures. A check script then reads the file and flags anything that breaks the format, and you re-run it after each edit.
You give it
- A description of the repeatable job
- The steps as you do them now
- Inputs that change each time (optional)
- Rules that must never be broken (optional)
You get
- A procedure file with steps and firm rules
- Inputs you can swap per run
- Examples and fixes for common problems
- A format check result
Use it when
- You do the same multi-step job each week and want an AI to do it your way.
- An agent skips steps and you need some rules to be firm.
- You want one procedure that works in several AI tools.
- Your old procedure has grown messy and needs checking.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run shell scripts and save files.
