Antenna matching helper
Give it an antenna. Get a matching network and system model that connect it to your RF chain.
Antenna matching helper is a free AI skill for the job "Build and ship software". Give the instructions to an AI assistant that supports the required files and tools, then review its output.

What it does
An antenna that does not match your radio wastes power and sends signal back. This skill builds the matching network and the system model that tie your antenna to the rest of your radio chain, so the signal actually gets out. It works in MATLAB with the Antenna and RF toolboxes. It designs L, Pi or Tee networks, compares two and three element versions for bandwidth, and can convert them to distributed form. It can turn your measured or simulated data into a reusable antenna model, including files from other design tools. From there it estimates coverage, signal strength, interference and link budget with ray tracing, and can estimate body exposure (SAR) for devices near tissue.
You give it
- Antenna design or measured data
- Target impedance and frequency
- Site or link details (optional)
- Exposure limits to test against (optional)
You get
- A matching network design
- A reusable antenna model
- Coverage and link budget results
- SAR estimate (optional)
Use it when
- Your antenna's return loss is poor and you need a matching network.
- You have measured pattern data and want a model you can reuse.
- You are planning where to place transmitters for coverage.
- You must show an RF exposure check for a wearable or implant.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run MATLAB with Antenna Toolbox and RF Toolbox.
