What it does
A working model of a dish or reflector antenna, with the radiation pattern and performance checked. Describe what you need: a parabolic dish, a Cassegrain or Gregorian pair, an offset reflector, a reflectarray, or an antenna mounted on a vehicle, ship or satellite. It can also compute radar cross section. The skill builds the geometry in MATLAB Antenna Toolbox, then picks the right solver for the size of the problem, such as MoM-PO, PO or FMM. It sets mesh control, can use the GPU, and plots patterns so you can check gain and beam shape. You need MATLAB with the Antenna Toolbox licence.
You give it
- Antenna type and frequency
- Dish size and focal setup
- Platform geometry or an STL file (optional)
- MATLAB with Antenna Toolbox
You get
- A built antenna model
- Radiation pattern plots
- Solver choice with a reason
- Performance numbers such as gain
Use it when
- You are designing a satellite dish and need gain and sidelobe plots.
- You want to compare a Cassegrain setup with an offset-fed one.
- You need to know how a vehicle body changes your antenna pattern.
- You must estimate radar cross section for a shape.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run MATLAB with Antenna Toolbox.
