What it does
A dark, blurry or washed-out camera picture gets better, starting with the camera and ending with software. Tell it what looks wrong and it checks the image, works out the likely cause, and gives you camera settings and processing steps to fix it. It follows a hardware-first rule: change exposure, gain, focus or light at the source before touching pixels, because that keeps more detail. A diagnostic step measures brightness, contrast, sharpness and noise, and detects backlit subjects. If settings are not enough, it applies a set of image processing steps in a sensible order. It is built around MATLAB tools, so you need MATLAB and the image toolbox to run the code.
You give it
- The camera image or a description of the problem
- The camera type and model if known
- MATLAB with image processing tools
You get
- A diagnosis of what is wrong with the image
- Camera settings to adjust first
- Image processing steps in the right order
- A before and after check
Use it when
- Your webcam image is too dark and you do not know which setting to change.
- A subject standing in front of a window turns into a silhouette.
- Pictures from a lab or factory camera look noisy or out of focus.
- You want to enhance a captured image without making it look fake.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run MATLAB and reach a camera.
