What it does
Your card payment setup is checked against the PCI standard so you know your level, the right self-assessment form, and the gaps to fix. Describe how you take cards, such as online checkout, in person or by phone, and you get a clear route. The skill assumes the current version of the standard unless you say otherwise. Output matches your task: a gap table with requirement number, status and priority; a form choice with reasoning; a scope of systems that touch card data; or a fix plan with owners and dates. It works through the 12 requirements under six goals and cites each one. It is advice, so a qualified assessor must confirm.
You give it
- How you accept cards and which provider you use
- Systems that store or pass card data
- Your yearly card volume
- Your current security controls (optional)
You get
- Your likely merchant level
- The right self-assessment form
- A gap table with priorities
- A scope of in-scope systems
- A fix plan with owners and dates
Use it when
- You take card payments and have never been told which form to fill in.
- Your bank or processor asked for proof of compliance.
- You want to shrink the systems that touch card data.
- An audit is coming and you need a list of gaps.
