What it does
A term-by-term review of a data processing agreement, with the edits to ask for. It is a first check and not legal advice. The first question is direction: are you the processor (reviewing a customer's DPA) or the controller (reviewing a vendor's)? The advice is nearly opposite for each, so the skill asks if it is unclear. It then compares each clause with your own playbook, which you set up in advance, and checks that the DPA matches what your privacy policy says. It looks at prior work on the same counterparty for risks already flagged. The output is a memo with suggested redlines. Jurisdiction rules depend on your setup.
You give it
- The DPA as a file, link or pasted text
- Whether you are the processor or controller
- Your DPA playbook set up in the plugin
- Earlier reviews of the same party (optional)
You get
- A term-by-term review memo
- Suggested redlines
- A consistency check with your privacy policy
- Open points to raise with the other side
Use it when
- A customer sent their own DPA and you need to know what to push back on.
- You are about to sign a vendor's DPA.
- You want to check a DPA against your privacy policy.
- A legal team needs a first-pass memo before a deeper review.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can read your saved privacy setup notes and your files.
- Where the skill points to /privacy-legal:cold-start-interview, use the setup-interview folder inside it. We copied it in so the skill works on its own.
