What it does
Comments that read like one careful person wrote them, and code that still behaves exactly the same. It is meant for the last pass before a review, a handoff or going public. The rule is simple: comments and layout are in scope, logic never is. It reads the whole file first, so no comment is a guess. Then it fixes casual, stale, missing or venting comments, adds docstrings in the language's usual style, and does safe tidy-ups like spacing and import order. If a fix would change what the code does, it leaves the line alone and tells you instead.
You give it
- A code file or module
- The language and style guide (optional)
- Comments to keep as they are (optional)
You get
- Rewritten comments in one voice
- Docstrings where they were missing
- Safe formatting tidy-ups
- A list of anything spotted but not changed
Use it when
- You are about to open-source a project full of rough notes.
- A file mixes human comments and AI comments in different voices.
- Old comments no longer match what the code does.
- You want clearer comments without any risk of changed behavior.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can read and edit your project files.
