What it does
A plain reading of a company's financial health from its statements, with the ratios worked out and the odd numbers flagged. You learn whether the business makes money, can pay its bills and is using its assets well. Claude first checks you have the income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement, and asks what you want to learn. It cleans the numbers, takes out one-off items, then works out margins, current and quick ratios, debt against equity and interest cover. It compares year on year and flags any line that moved over 15 percent without a footnote, or profit not backed by cash. The report ends with a plain summary.
