What it does
When an ad works, much of the power sits in its skeleton: a confession that opens it, a list of three, a short pause before the turn, the product showing up at second ten. Copying the ad word for word is theft. "Taking inspiration" loosely often loses the exact move that made it work. This skill keeps the skeleton and nothing else. It maps each row of the reference (its time, its pace in words per second, its job and its move), then writes one new row for each, in the same order and at the same pace, from your facts only. Ideas and methods are free to reuse. Lines, slogans, claims, numbers, people, music and footage are not, so none of those come across. Where a row rests on a fact you don't have, such as a free trial, it finds a true fact that does the same job…
You give it
- A row-by-row breakdown of the reference, with start and end times, spoken words and on-screen text
- Screenshots of each shot, or the video file if your AI can watch it (attach them; your AI can see pictures)
- Your product facts, proof with sources, and the offer and guarantee as written
- Your approved and banned claims
- Buyer quotes from reviews or surveys (optional)
- Your brand voice (optional)
- Customer words (optional)
You get
- The move the whole reference depends on, in one sentence
- A frame map of each row's time, pace, job and move, and what yours keeps or changes
- Your new script, row by row, with timings, on-screen text and visual notes
- A list of gaps to fill and guesses to confirm
- A distance check with row count, total time and the longest run of words shared with the reference
- Any of its six checks it still misses, such as same row count or no shared five-word run, each named
Use it when
- You found an ad (yours or another brand's) and want the same shape for your product.
- A teammate says "make one like this" and you need to pin down what "like this" means, row by row.
- You want to test whether a winning structure works for a different product or buyer.
How to use it
- Start a chat with the skill. Open it if you added it to your AI, or copy it and paste it in.
- Paste the reference breakdown, one row per line or shot, with start and end times, and attach a screenshot of each shot.
- Paste your product facts, proof and offer underneath, and any buyer quotes.
- Read the frame map first. If a row was changed, check you agree with the reason.
- Fill or remove every gap, and confirm the speaker, before anything is filmed.
