What it does
A set of short files in your repo, one per feature, so the next person or AI session knows what was decided and what is still risky. Nothing has to be re-explained. The skill keeps a global index plus one markdown file per feature under a docs folder. Before you change anything, it reads the index and the feature's file, and follows links to current sources. If they are missing, it creates the smallest useful structure with a lowercase feature id. After the work it records the status, decisions, risks, rollout limits and the checked outcome. It stays short on purpose. It is not a log of every edit or a replacement for an issue tracker.
You give it
- Access to your project folder
- The feature name
- Existing docs and tickets (optional)
- What changed in this session
You get
- A feature index
- One short file per feature
- Recorded decisions and risks
- Status and next steps
Use it when
- You come back to a feature after a month and cannot recall why it works that way.
- A new AI session keeps asking questions you already answered.
- Notes on one feature are spread across tickets and old plans.
- You want to hand a feature to a teammate with context.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can read and write your project files.
