What it does
A Helm chart for your Kubernetes service that other people can trust and use. Describe the service and the skill scaffolds a chart with the right shape for it: a web service, a background worker, a scheduled job, a stateful service or a shared library chart. It writes Chart.yaml, a clean values file with sensible defaults, optional schema validation, and template helpers. It then adds the hardening many charts skip: resource limits, non-root containers, network policies, minimal permissions and careful handling of secrets. You can also ask it to review a chart you already have for hardcoded values and missing labels, or run a security audit. It uses helm lint and test, so you need Helm installed.
You give it
- A description of the service or its manifests
- The workload type
- Dependencies such as a database (optional)
- An existing chart to review (optional)
You get
- A scaffolded chart with values and templates
- Security hardening applied
- A review of problems in an existing chart
- Test and lint steps
Use it when
- You have raw Kubernetes manifests and want a reusable chart.
- You are asked to review a teammate's Helm chart.
- You need a security check on RBAC, network rules and pod settings.
- You want a values.yaml other people can understand.
How to use it
- Add it to your AI once: download it and add the folder to Claude, ChatGPT or Codex as a skill.
- Ask for the job in your own words. Your AI opens the skill when it fits.
- It works best when your AI can run code and read your project files.
